Little Stinker on the Stairs

Jasper is a speedy and adventurous crawler, and is very confident and excited to use his new skills. At daycare, they have a mini climber for the babies, with a carpeted ramp, 3 or 4 little steps and a platform with a peek-a-boo window and steering wheel at the top. Apparently Jasper has been practicing steps on the climber, because he can't stay away from them at home.

It's also taken him awhile to understand that he doesn't have free rein on the steps at home like he does with the steps at daycare. But, now he knows he's not supposed to go up the steps, and it is one of his favorite games to see how far he can get before we come get him.

He will start crawling toward the stairs, checking to see who might be watching, then begin his climb, looking out at the room at each step, with a big grin on his face. Once someone retrieves and relocates him, he giggles a big belly giggle and the whole darned thing starts all over again.
