Odin has suddenly grown taller. Don't get too excited, he's still the littlest guy of all his friends, but he is getting bigger. Suddenly, the length on all of his 2T pants is just right, and his 2T shirts look like they actually fit instead of drape.
And just in case we weren't sure that he'd really grown, he now is tall enough to get enough leverage on his doorknob to open his bedroom door all by himself. While this is a good life skill in general, it has made things a little more challenging for us. Now when he doesn't want to go to sleep, he can just get out of bed, open his door and pat pat pat down the hall or stairs or wherever to giggle at us and tell us he's not tired. This makes bedtime last a lot longer.
And if it's not bad enough that we are losing time in the evenings, he can pull these tricks in the morning, too. He used to stay in bed when he woke up and call for us to come get him. But now, he wakes up, opens his door, and pat pat pats down the hall to our room. Thursday this was at 5:15 AM. We may need to teach him how to use the TV remote soon so we can get a little more sleep in the mornings.
