Jasper's First Tummy Bug

Poor little J had his first tummy bug at the end of May. It seemed like Tuesday was finally starting to settle down, and we were all going to get a decent night's sleep when Jasper threw up at 10:30. We got him changed, bathed, and clean sheets, and I was rocking him back to sleep when he threw up again.

Fortunately I was able to anticipate that one a little and we made it to the toilet. After that, he was done and fell asleep pretty quickly for the rest of the night.

He seemed in good spirits the next morning, and since he couldn't go to school, Grandma came and stayed with him for most of the day.

Although he threw up one more time, he remained pretty happy throughout the day. Grandma said he would happily play for about an hour, then crawl over to her, snuggle in, and go to sleep for an hour. Not a bad way to spend a day.

Once I got home, we got out for a walk around the lake with my friend Janet and her two sons, Wyatt and Eli. Jasper seemed to enjoy seeing all the people and getting some fresh air. He loved playing peek a boo with his stroller bug screen and giggled until he finally fell asleep for another nap.
