Odin's Second Arizona Trip

For Odin's second trip to Arizona, he got to go on several special outings. Since we were staying in Scottsdale, we decided to spend a morning at the zoo. We found out ahead of time that it was the birthday of Duchess, one of their Orangutans, so we talked that up with Odin leading up to the trip and he was very excited to go to her birthday party.

Once we got to the zoo, he got a little sidetracked at a play area and went wandering off across a troll bridge,

but eventually we got back to the animals and the orangutans. Chad held Odin on his shoulders so he could see better, and we were all very entertained by the baby orangutan playing peek-a-boo with a sheet with the older orangutans.

We had a good long, hot morning a the zoo, and after attempting a nap at the hotel, took the boys over to Grandma and Grandpa's while Chad and I went out for dinner.

The next day, after dropping Jasper off with Grandma and Grandpa, we took Odin to the Renaissance Festival.

We watched a couple of shows, where Odin learned about riding unicycles on slack ropes and juggling, listened to music, and went on a carousel ride and a camel ride.

He even got to visit Mother Goose and pet her goose. All of that activity was finally enough to get Odin to take a nap, and he was asleep by the time we hit the highway back to Apache Junction.

On the last morning, we swam at the hotel for a bit before checking out, then walked around downtown Scottsdale before heading back to the airport and home. Where we all slept soundly.
