Making Music

We've been taking Jasper to music classes pretty much since he was born. At music class, they bring out a basket of instruments for the kids to use to play along with the music, but up until the last month or so, Jasper spent most of the song chewing on his instrument.

We also have a box of children's musical instruments where he can get to them easily to play with. There's a good selection of mostly percussion instruments for them; maracas, tambourine and bells, but his favorites are definitely the egg shakers and mini cymbals. He'll sit and bang the cymbals like a circus monkey, with a big happy grin on his face. Sometimes he'll crawl around with the egg shakers in his hands, giving us advance warning of his imminent approach with alternating bangs and shakes.
