Jasper at 9 Months Old

Jasper had his 9 month checkup last week. Time is going by faster and faster, and although his growth has slowed a bit, Jasper is getting bigger and bigger. Here are the stats:

20 pounds .6 oz
28 inches

So, in just 2 pounds and 2 inch Jasper will officially need to be out of his bucket seat and into a big boy car seat. Which is nice for us, since he is getting pretty heavy to lug about in the bucket seat, but also kind of tough since we will now need to carry him and hope that Odin doesn't go darting off into traffic. No more setting him safely aside in his car seat while we chase after Odin.

Other milestones Jasper has hit include:

• Rolling over both ways
• Sitting quite comfortably
• Moving from sitting to his belly
• Creeping all over the place on his belly, and being able to swivel around on his belly to get at things
• Standing while holding onto something (he loves this and slaps his hands on whatever is supporting him to show his enthusiasm for standing)
• Eating pretty much anything, although he does prefer fruits and orange vegetables to green vegetables and loves to feed himself cheerios and puffs
• Lots of babbling and smiles
• Still lots of laughing - Odin can still make laugh the easiest of any of us, but I have my special trick of kissing his neck, which always makes him laugh
• Bathing in the tub with his big brother - he loves to kick and splash the entire time!
