This was Odin's first time in a life jacket. At first he wasn't sure what to think about it, and started getting a bit of a pouty lower lip (sign number one that he might cry - this can usually be averted through reassurance and diversion techniques), but he got ok with it pretty quickly and spent some time floating on his back and swimming on his front.
The first couple times at class, it took most of the class for Odin to relax and be comfortable in the water. He kept his little legs and arms curled in tight to his body, so didn't get much practice with kicking or splashing. This week, he relaxed right away and set about kicking around the pool.
