Six Months Old

Jasper is already six months old! (well, more than that, since I'm late in posting this). But, he did great at his six month check-up. He is 17 lbs 14oz, so giving me a workout carrying him around and definitely going to be out of his bucket seat well before he turns one. He is generally a very happy baby, but still likes someone to be around him most of the time and gets pretty upset if left alone when he is tired. Even daycare is still having a tough time getting him to nap in the crib and will often hold him so he can get some daytime sleep in .

After sleeping through the night most of the time for the past few months, he hasn't been sleeping well since we went up to the lake at Thanksgiving. At first we thought it was a new bed, then maybe the disruption of going up there, then teething, then maybe a cold. So, finally I took him into the dr. to see if he had an ear infection. Nope, that wasn't it either. Mostly it appears that he just wants to be with us. I guess that's what we get for letting him sleep with us all night up at the lake. Now he wants it back.

Odin likes playing with and talking to Jasper, and Jasper giggles at Odin's stories. It is really great to see them enjoying each other. We also enjoy making Jasper giggle, and I will still kiss his neck just so to get great big baby giggles out of him.
