Jasper is a very happy baby, and spends most of the day smiling with his mouth wide open in kind of a perpetual "Hey! So happy to see you! Hey!" He's also very ticklish and giggly. This is pretty charming, except when it is bedtime. Last night, he did not want to leave the fun and go to sleep. The dog was distracting him, his dad was distracting him, the light was distracting him, my hair was distracting him. Clearly there was too much going on to close his eyes and go to sleep. So, I decided to try the age old, sing him a lullaby and help him go to sleep.
Well. That didn't work. I don't know that lullabies will be part of his nightly routine. He thought "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "Hush Little Baby" were the funnies things he ever heard and every time I paused to take a breath would giggle at me. Giggle! at a lullaby! Crazy stinker. So, off to bed he went on his own, where he happily played with his crib toy for a bit before going to sleep.
