Winter in MN

Even though it's a real winter here, I still like to get out for walks around the neighborhood with Odin. After one painful walk through the snow with the stroller though, we've switched to bundling Odin up in his bunting and using the Ergo carrier for me to just carry him around. It's much easier to get over the snowbanks at the corners without trying to drag the stroller through the snow. Surprisingly, Odin doesn't seem to mind his bunting too much (although he screams bloody murder when I'm loading him into the Ergo, then quiets down when we start walking and falls asleep about 15-20 mins into the walk). It is too cold to be outside most of the time though, so we also have plenty of indoor entertainment. Odin got a Jumperoo for Christmas. He seems to like it, even though he's still a little small for it (we had to put a book underneath him so his feet would touch) and hasn't quite figured out coordinated jumping yet.
The kid also loves his baths! We had to move his little tub from the kitchen sink to the bathtub because he loves to kick and splash and was getting water all over the place. Now he can kick and splash all night long and I don't have to sop up gallons of water. Here he is cuddled up with the great hooded towel my Aunt Carol made for him.
And sometimes we just need to leave the house and do something someplace else. Last week we went to the Children's Museum with my friend Erica and her 3-year old Amelia. Here's Odin & me sitting in Big Bird's nest at the Sesame Street exhibit. This is also a pretty good shot of Odin's baby mohawk - his hair just keeps popping back up on top of his head, so he is clearly much cooler than I am.
